WE ARE A CLUB
And as a club it's simple...

DO NOT FAVE THE DEVIATIONS ON THE CLUB!
Faving the club does not give credit where credit is due. Clubs help promote an artist's work. Clubs do not exist to take credit for their member's work. Faving the club blurs this relationship, and it's artistically unethical.

Welcome to the Pack!

Art of the Paw and Fang is a community where lovers of wolves can post their quality wolf art and get quality commentary back on it. What do we mean by quality, you may ask? Well, it might sound unfair, but you have to submit works that have noticeable effort placed into them. Things of the following nature will be ignored:

1. Notebook "I did this in math class" doodles; WHY? Because if you don't care enough to place your work on decent white paper, then why should viewers take the time to look at it. Notebook lines take away from the quality of the image and render it base. For more commentary on notebook doodles, look at the journal of ~Keyoyia at [link] . I think most would find it helpful.

2. Messy Sketches; WHY? Because this is a gallery geared towards more finished work. Graphite works are more than welcome, as are inks that will be colored at a later date because they have the look of being finished and are interesting enough as they are to be artwork on their own.

3. Admins reserve the right to decline posting artwork that they feel is not suitable or finished enough to be posted. Hopefully this will give all of us the incentive to do our best and give wolves the beautiful representation such magnificent creatures deserve.

Joining

1. NOTE the club with the subject line Joining. Do not leave comments asking to join, as they will just be ignored. Then give us links to your DeviantART gallery or other online galleries.

2. In your note, give us the links to THREE pieces that are representative of your work. Choose carefully and follow the guidelines for submitted work below.

3. Wait for a note to come back to you saying that you have been accepted or not. Then, you may place our icon in your DevJournal and we will place your icon in our list of members. Once your a member, you may submit work for our gallery.

Guidelines for Submitted Work

Note the club with a link to your submission(s) with the subject being Submission. Indicated in that note your permission for the club to host your work in the club's gallery. Wolves, wolf-like dogs such as huskies and malamutes and other Nordic breeds, coyotes, and mixes of all of these are welcome. Anthros, weres, and feral morphs are also all welcome. In addition:
1. Gore is welcome (if your 18 or over).
2. Nudity is welcome (if your 18 or over).
3. Hate pieces focusing on the slander of another artist are not welcome, no matter how provoked you feel the art might have been. The admins and other members here will not play referee to a silly squabble.
4. Fan Art of characters is welcome (Balto, White Fang, etc.) as LONG AS YOU GIVE FULL CREDIT TO THE AUTHOR AND/OR PRODUCTION COMPANY.
5. Art may not "bash" any religion,race, or sexual preference.
6. Photomanipulation and photography is not allowed. As it may be art, it is not the artwork themed in this club. We show traditional or digitally painted works. Unless its digital or tradionally created work blended into a photographed background. But show some effort with this, dont just slap your drawing on a photo with no effort.
7. Poetry is not allowed. Although poetry can be beautiful and art as well, this is a visually based art club. There are many other poetry themed clubs out there. But if you have artwork with poetry on it, or in its description, that is allowed.
8. Limit your submissions to 1 or 2. Why? We promote quality over quantity. Less is More. And we only have four new deviation positions on our page. To assume them all for yourself is a bit much, isn't it? If you want to submit more than one or two, request permission.
9. Comments are once against turned ON. This has been deemed necessary as an expedient method for deviants to notify the club of missing copyright info or other art infractions. Comments concerning the artist's ability should still be put on the artist's deviation as opposed to the club's.

Also you may submit ideas by noting the club or getting in contact with an Alpha. You can indicate to us any ideas you have for the club and or membership. You may also submit wolf or art related contests or information for the members' page. Also, if you feel you have been treated unfairly in any manner, we will be more than happy to discuss matters with you maturely; by all means, let us know.
